I can finally confirm that the dog eating rumors are not utterly wrong. Although the majority of China's population don't eat dogs, they certainly do in certain regions.⠀⠀⠀
In some villages, many dogs roam free, unattended and uncared-for. Since life in the village is often complex for farmers, they can't afford to take care of dogs. Therefore, few farmers will sell those dogs in markets.
However, in regions where they do eat them, they tend to care for them not as pets but as farm animals. Not like that makes any difference. With the Lychee and dog meat festival approaching in Yulin, Guangxi, China, over thousands of dogs are currently being prepped.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀shout out to my friend's mom for rescuing and nourishing dogs. Thank you Haihai for helping me with my lunch.🖤
Please understand this is based on my own experience and what I have come to learn from my life in China and from talking to Chinese people around me. It's an intense topic to bring up since most of them don't really want to talk about this, so I went to a village where I learned the truth. Well, to some extent.
Let me know in the comments below what you think about this and whether I should get my Chinese friends to make a video with me on this topic to discuss it farther, so you all can hear and see how they feel about this situation.
