Learn a new skill
You will be spending enough time a the beach, so it's the perfect time to pick up on a new skill and try an activity you've never done before. It could be as simple as snorkeling, kayaking ATV riding, or challenge yourself and try surfing. There are many things you can do from stand-up paddleboarding to scuba diving and more.
Tips: any beach you go to in Phuket will charge you 100 baht for a chair so if you don't want to pay, bring your own beach mat. Also, as blue as the water might be, it's extremely salty! just heads up if you are going snorkeling.
Phuket Town & Patong Beach
Stroll around Phuket Town and if you go early in the morning, you may catch the monks on the streets. Check out the fresh market, enjoy some fresh local food, and get an overall taste of the locals' Life. Many locals sell second-hand goods and other things here. Phuket Town gives you different scenery and vibe from the rest of Phuket so don't miss it. If the nightlife is your scenery, head to Patong Beach. It's filled with people of all ages from all over the world drinking, dancing and just having a good time.
Explore the islands
Phuket is surrounded by many unique and beautiful Islands. You can explore most islands on a speedboat as part of your tour. The most popular are Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay, Monkey beach, and Phang Nga Bay aka James Bond Island. Make it your goal to see at least two of these since most tours don't have them all as a package. But if you can explore all of these, that's even better!
Explore Thailand's superstar island
Phi Phi Island is famous because of Leonardo DiCaprio's movie "The Beach." It's very popular among tourists and the main attraction for many. Phi Phi is heaven on earth with its tropical beaches, clear turquoise water, and beautiful hills view. You can take a tail boat to get to all the other beaches like Monkey Beach, Maya Bay, Bamboo Island, Viking Cave and etc.
Viking Cave
The cave isn't open to tourists in order to protect paintings and valuable swifts' nests. On the way to Maya Bay, tour boats will slow down, so everyone can get a good glimpse as the guide tells the history of the cave. Inside the cave are wall paintings of elephants and boats from Europe, Arab countries and China. The paintings are believed to have been made by either pirates or sailors who took shelter in the cave when they had too.
Bask in Maya Bay
Maya means beautiful, and Maya Bay is beyond beautiful! With its crystal clear water and white sand, its postcard-perfect. You can go snorkeling, swim, or bask in the sun as you enjoy the beautiful view and calming atmosphere.
Rolled Ice cream and the fish market
Enjoy some time at the beach with some rolled ice cream. Rolled ice cream or "I-Tim-Pad" in Thai is authentic Thai ice cream that is made with milk mixed with different varieties of sweets, nuts, or fruits on an iced grill. You won't find Rolled Ice cream outside Phuket, so don't miss out! In the evening, explore the fish market. They have some great seafood and the freshest smoothies you'll ever have.
